How bright a flood light do I need?
A 10W light (800 lumens) suits a doorway or small area, 20 to 30W (1,600 to 2,200 lumens) a carport, shed or side path, and 50W (4,000 lumens) a driveway, yard or building front.
Solar or plug-in?
Solar sensor lights need no wiring and suit spots without power, switching on only when there's movement. Plug-in wall flood lights are brighter and stay on as long as you need them.
What does 6000K mean?
It's the colour of the light: 6000K is a cool, bright white close to daylight, good for security and seeing detail outside.
Do I need an electrician?
Not for these. The wall mount flood lights come with a lead and plug for a power point, and the solar lights have no wiring. Anything hard-wired into your house needs a licensed electrician.
What does a 120 degree beam mean?
The light spreads across a wide angle, so one light covers a broad area such as a driveway or the side of a shed.
What warranty do the lights have?
Every flood light carries a 12 month warranty.
