What do head and flow mean?
Head is how high, in metres, the pump can push water; flow is how much it moves, in litres per minute or hour. A pump gives its maximum flow at low head and less as the height and pipe length grow, so check both figures against your job.
Surface pump or submersible pump?
A surface pump sits beside the water and draws it up, usually from no more than 7 to 9 m below. A submersible pump sits in the water and pushes it out, so it suits pits, flooded areas and deep bores.
Electric or petrol and diesel?
Electric pumps suit fixed jobs near power, like the house supply. Petrol and diesel pumps work anywhere, for fire fighting, dams and sites without power.
What warranty do the pumps have?
All our pumps carry a 12 month warranty, whatever the brand.
Can I pick up my pump?
Yes. Choose Pickup at checkout and collect free from our Derrimut warehouse, or we deliver Australia-wide.
